English to Italian interpretation
If you request an English - Italian interpreter, the service will be provided by Mariella Bonelli.
A graduate in English at the Faculty of Foreign Languages and Literature of Turin, Mariella subsequently obtained a Diploma in Simultaneous and Consecutive Interpretation at the SSITT in Turin.
She has worked as an interpreter in several industrial sectors, gaining in-depth knowledge of specialist technical terminology.
Mariella Bonelli acts as an English-Italian interpreter also in the legal field. She collaborates with the court of Turin as an interpreter for criminal trials, formal questioning and witness statements, and with the court of Cuneo in civil cases. She is registered at Cuneo court as a court-appointed interpreter and translator in both the civil and criminal sections (click here to view the registration certificates).
Services available include support for foreign citizens in the purchase of property and interpretation during all types of notarial acts, for which the documents can also be translated. Mariella also interprets for business trips, meetings and conferences, and for weddings where one of the partners does not speak Italian.
Over time she has established relations with local businesses, law firms and notary offices, expanding her expertise and knowledge of specialist terminology.
Mariella Bonelli offers interpretation for negotiations as well as consecutive and simultaneous interpreting. To prepare for the meeting it is useful to provide prior information and any relevant material pertaining to the issue under discussion. It is also advisable to forward the files containing the presentation to be given. A confidentiality statement can be issued on request.
Liaison or business interpreting is a service suitable for small groups of people in a face-to-face situation, "around the table" so to speak. Alternatively, it may take place during a visit to a company, for example.
This type of interpreting happens in front of a larger audience. The speaker gives the talk in his or her own language, with regular pauses. The interpreter takes notes and repeats the segments of text in the target language.
Simultaneous interpreting is used at events attended by larger numbers of people, and requires a venue with appropriate technical equipment (a soundproof booth and headphones).
